Scaling An Amazon Business

TIPS & NEW STUFF

Today we’ll touch on the Repeat Buyer option in your automated customer response email tool, SellerMail.

In your ManageByStats, under SellerMail > Email Rules, you see the email rules you’ve created. When you edit any Rule, there’s a Show Advanced button …

… which expands to offer many additional options.

One of those options is Repeat Buyer:

Choose from several “Types”:

  • Ignored = email is not restricted by repeat buyer status.
  • Any product = email is restricted by how many times buyer has bought anything from seller.
  • Selected SKUs = email is restricted by how many times buyer has bought any of the specified SKUs from Seller.
  • Excluded SKUs = email is restricted by how many times buyer has bought any product from seller other than the specified SKUs.

Set the number of purchases that constitutes a repeat buyer, and Within how far back the system should consider a customer a Repeat Buyer.

Episode 338 – Part 1 – EPIC Amazon Copywriting Secrets

THE WORLD OF AMAZON

Amazon is evolving. Always — otherwise it wouldn’t be the retail behemoth it is today — but lately it feels the changes are coming more frequently, and they’re larger in scope. We’ve been keeping you up to date — in fact we recently did a blog on the subject from a Seller’s point of view, playing to win in the Amazon sandbox — and in everything we report we try to take the positive tack. How can you improve your game within those changes?

Sometimes awareness is enough. To that end, it’s probably time to start paying closer attention to moves being made by the US Government. For years, Amazon seemed insulated from laws focused on breaking up destructive monopolies, thanks in part to the e-tailer’s reputation for low prices and happy customers.

But the government is looking closer. Investigations are in their early stages, and outcomes, if any, are uncertain. But Amazon is being closely watched. Aside from the obvious business risk to Amazon in the worst-case scenario — i.e., the government breaking up its business (which the feds haven’t done in decades) or restricting its practices — the investigations could shed more light on the structure of the modern retail market and one of the industry’s most feared players …

Is Amazon On A Collision Course With The Government?

HUMOR

This week some most excellent Dad jokes …

Bacon and eggs walk into a bar.

The bartender says, “Sorry, we don’t serve breakfast.”

What did one snowman say to the other?

Do you smell carrots?

What do Kermit the Frog and Attila the Hun have in common?

They both have the same middle name.

What did Cinderella say when her photos didn’t show up?

Someday my prints will come!

After dinner, my wife asked if I could clear the table.

I needed a running start, but I made it!

What did the snail say when it was riding on the turtle’s back?

Wheeee!
